CAESAR Bare head of Julius Caesar l.; behind, six-rayed star, before, lituus. Müller, MMA, 30. RPC 771. Of the highest rarity, apparently only the fourth specimen known. Dark brown-green patina, insignificant flan crack at eight o’clock, otherwise very fine Ex Triton III, 1999, 805 and Triton XI, 2008, Villemur, 555. From the Villemur and Alberto Campana collections.
